I'd probably clarify this a little bit… Mamdani accepted the stick of truth the abundance agenda's anti-union cotton candy was spun around—and then rejected the agenda in total. The stick of truth is that government privileges an order of class domination that puts elite interests over those of human need.
The left should seek out partners in principle & character and expect that their command of the facts will turn them into comrades. Very impressed by Lander, too. We have been successful with a similar liberal-left coalition under the leadership of organized workers here in Milwaukee as well.

We won round 1. Round 2 is in November.
In this regard what happened in Buffalo’s mayoral race a few years ago is instructive. A Berniecrat won the Democratic primary against all odds against the incumbent. But in the general election Republicans crossed over and elected the incumbent mayor. Regardless of whether it’s from Cuomo or Eric Adams the vicious attacks will only increase as they get more desperate. Our work is cut out for us. La lucha continua!

I'm just not sure that allowing Reganomics "respectability" is the winning formula around the country.
But I am also equally positive a Mayoral race in an extremely blue city is a proper litmus test of punching left.
