This exchange really resonated with me.

I think a lot of the negative reaction to Zohran re the Nurses shows a lack of maturity in understanding this moment of growth in DSA and the Left.

I especially liked that our main fight is with the right wing and not the liberal resistance. I don’t r think this understanding is shared broadly enough within DSA, which leaves us unprepared for this moment.

We (DSA and the left) need to mature in a hurry.

Eric — you know more about what’s going on in DSA. This is my own personal reaction.

I love this conversation and your Substack, and I’m gonna sound like a real dickhead for saying this and maybe I am. But the sound of everyone’s voice on this podcast is a problem. The vocal fry. The flat awkward LA young hip voice. Everyone hates that voice. I’m so sorry, I love your writing but it’s true. Especially working class people who - I’m calling it - mostly do not sound like that. Most especially in New York. I get it, I’m being that guy. I’m sorry. But I’m convinced I’m right. A whole generation of New York leftists Californiacated their voices and it’s a damn shame and it just sounds sooo privileged.
